Highest mortality numbers in train-related mishaps
Records released at the end of the week-long railway safety week conducted by the GRP stated that 138 people died while crossing tracks illegally in 2014. Officials said that trespassing registered the highest mortality numbers in train-related mishaps.
“Death is a very high probability if you trespass as even when brakes are hit it takes time for the train to stop,” said a GRP spokesperson.
