Fortress Check Conducted at Secunderabad Railway Station against Ticketless / Irregular Travel
South Central Railway conducted a Fortress Check against ticketless and irregular travel at Secunderabad Railway station on 10thJanuary, 2014. The Check was conducted under the direct supervision of Shri A.Bharat Bhushan, Chief Commercial Manager/SCR.
180 Ticket checking staff and 13 Railway Protection Force Personnel were involved in the check. During the fortress check, all the exit and entry points at Secunderabad Railway station were plugged. 113 trains including 58 Express Trains, 12 Passenger Trains and 43 MMTS Trains were checked.
A total of 2440 persons were apprehended, comprising of 1196 persons travelling without ticketless travel, 1050 persons travelling irregularly and 194 cases of un-booked luggage. A total of Rs. 10.32 Lakh was realised towards penalty from these persons.
