Railway traffic on the Dhanbad-Howrah route was today hit for nearly five hours as gangmen blocked rail movement after the Ranchi bound Shatabdi Express ran over a gangman at Chota Ambona Railway Station under Asansol Rail Division. The deceased identified as Anuj Kumar Gupta was working at the up-line when he was run over by the Howrah-Ranchi Shatabdi Express. Agitated over the incident gangmen of Dhanbad and Asansol Rail Division stopped rail traffic movement on the Dhanbad-Howrah route from 1000hrs to 1500hrs. As a result of the agitation five trains were standed at different railway stations.

A. The following trains will be partially cancelled
1. Train No.56706/56705 Madurai – Villupuram – Madurai passenger trains will be partially cancelled between Vriddhachalam - Villupuram.
2. Train No.56041/56042 Tirupati – Puducherry – Tirupati passenger trains will be partially cancelled between Chengalpattu – Puducherry.
3. Train No.56037/56038 Chennai Egmore – Puducherry – Chennai Egmore passenger trains will be partially cancelled between Tindivanam – Puducherry.

B. The following trains will be fully cancelled
1. Train No.66045/66046 Melmaruvathur – Villupuram – Melmaruvathur passenger trains will be fully cancelled.
2. Train No.56863/56864 Villupuram – Puducherry – Villupuram passenger trains will be fully cancelled.
3. Train No.56879/56880 Mayiladuthurai – Tiruvarur – Mayiladuthurai passenger trains will be fully cancelled.

1. Train No.16854 Tiruchchirappalli – Chennai Egmore express scheduled to leave Tiruchchirappalli at 09.35 hrs. will leave late by 90 minutes.
2. Train No.56875 Villupuram – Mayiladuthurai passenger train scheduled to leave Villupuram at 05.30 hrs. will leave late by 120 minutes.

D. Train No.12635 Chennai Egmore – Madurai Vaigai express will be regulated for 20 minutes between Chennai Egmore – Villupuram.

from 23.45 hrs to 02.45 hrs (i.e. 3 hrs) for carrying out engineering works.

Mail/express trains arriving Mumbai area during the block period will be regulated enroute and will arrive destination 15 to 40 minutes behind schedule.

Due to line block / power block to facilitate engineering works between Guduvanchery - Singaperumalkoil in Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu section, the following changes will be made in suburban train services for a period of 7 days from 06.06.2014.

Partial cancellation of EMU locals between Tambaram – Chengalpattu o­n week days for 7 days from 06.06.2014:

1. Train No.40567 Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 20.52 hrs. will run upto Tambaram o­nly; it will be partially cancelled between Tambaram - Chengalpattu.
2. Train No.40574 Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local leaving Chengalpattu at 23.10 hrs. will be partially cancelled between Chengalpattu - Tambaram.

 Partial cancellation of EMU locals between Tambaram – Chengalpattu o­n Sunday (08.06.2014):

1. Train No.40657 Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 20.10 hrs. will run upto Tambaram o­nly; it will be partially cancelled between Tambaram - Chengalpattu.

TWO SPECIAL TRAFFIC BLOCKS OF 15 MINUTES EACH

ON DIVA-THANE UP & DN SLOW LINES FOR 10 DAYS

Central Railway will operate two special traffic blocks o­n Up and Dn Slow lines between Diva and Thane stations for construction of tunnel by MRVC in connection with 5th and 6th lines, from 30.12.2013 to 9.1.2014 (Excluding 5.1.2014) for 10 days. The Blocks will be as under:

FROM 30.12.2013 TO 9.1.2014 (EXCLUDING 5.1.2014) 10 DAYS
