A
23-year-old woman managed to stave off a robber in the first-class
compartment of a Harbour local on Tuesday morning. But when she
approached the railway police to register a case, she was reportedly
told that an FIR cannot be lodged as she had not lost any valuables.
Afroza Shaikh, the victim, said it was only after a journalist intervened did a railway police constable accompany her to Mahim, where the incident had taken place, and conducted inquiries. But till late on Tuesday, a case was yet to be registered.
