NEW DELHI: Railways have earned Rs 12,064.46 crore in April as compared to Rs 11,010.98 cr during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 9.57 per cent. The total goods earnings in April 2014 were Rs 8204 cr compared to Rs 7624 cr during the same period last year, according to Railway Ministry data.
The total passenger earnings in April were Rs 3406.76 cr compared to Rs 2916.63 cr during the same period last year.
The earnings from other coaching amounted to Rs 324.64 cr during April compared to Rs 302.16 cr during the same period last year.
