The ministries of road and surface transport and railways would sign a pact on Monday to allow for expeditious construction of bridges for pedestrians to safely cross the rail tracks. “The ministry of road transport & highways (MoRT&H) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday with the ministry of railways according to which the two ministries will not levy any charge for supervision and maintenance, departmental charges or land lease charges from each other,” the government has said in a statement.
